Tracking Influenza Using Delaware's My Healthy Community Site
Report Created: March 2025
About this Report
This report explores user activity and engagement on the influenza pages of the Delaware My Healthy Community site. We focus on how the site is used during the flu season. We show that the site is a vital resource for Delawareans to find up-to-date information about their communities.
Influenza and Site Engagement
The Delaware Influenza Dashboard was launched in the 2022-2023 flu season. Since then, it has been a vital resource for information on influenza vaccinations, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. Visits to influenza pages of the MHC site tend to be higher when flu cases are higher.
The Flu Portal is an increasingly popular part of the My Healthy Community site. Since the flu portal was launched in 2022, visits to the influenza portal accounted for an increasingly large share of MHC's overall pageviews.
Flu Overview Pages are the most popular way to consume information about the flu
Flu overview pages account for over half of all flu pageviews. After overview pages, pages related to flu cases are the next most popular, followed by information about hospitalizations and vaccinations. The data download pages comprise a small percentage (2%) of total flu pageviews.
